Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) can be applied to a wide range of vessels, from small boats such as yachts to large ships like frigates. It helps to achieve lightweight design, improve fuel efficiency, and enhance durability.

GW COMPOS participate in the project of composite sails which were  equipped on China Merchants Group 307000 ton VLCC "New Aden". It is the 1st set of carbon fiber composite sails for VLCC with the dimension of 15m width and 40m height. The main structure of the sail is composed of carbon fiber skeleton and composite skin structure. The annual fuel saving is over 9.8%, the annual cost saving is more than 5 million RMB, and the carbon emission is reduction about 2900 tons. GW COMPOS achieves the independent design and raw material self-sufficiency.
